Mike Overton has been a guide and teaching professional on the local waterways for over 25 years. Currently, President of Outside Hilton Head, Mike is a licensed Master Captain with the U.S. Coast Guard. He is a world-class sailor and windsurfer who was formerly ranked #5 in the world in Olympic class windsurfing. He is the co-author of the current windsurfing instruction manual used internationally.  He is also the founder and developer of the nation’s first training program for interpretive kayak tours. Mike was also a support captain for the 1996 Olympic yachting events.
