Danny Malone has been the Director of Golf Courses and Grounds at Berkeley Hall Club since 2003. Danny received his undergraduate degree in business from Mississippi State University and then continued his studies at the University in Turf Grass Management. In 1998, he completed all of his course requirements to become a Certified Golf Course Superintendent through the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA). Danny began his golf career as a Golf Course Superintendent at several smaller clubs in Mississippi. He was appointed Course Superintendent at Dancing Rabbet Golf Club, a top 100 Golf Resort that was noted for quality Bentgrass greens. While at Dancing Rabbet GC, he developed a working relationship with the Fazio Design Group during the construction of their 2nd golf course. Once complete, he moved to Rustin, Louisiana as Project Construction Manager for Squire Creek CC who were involved with the construction of a new Fazio designed golf course. Once complete, this course was ranked among the Top 10 New Private Courses by Golf Digest magazine. Danny oversees the maintenance of both “core” golf courses and common areas within the community. His past experience with golf course construction provided him with the skills required to successfully complete a major bunker renovation project on both course. He has since constructed new tees on selected golf holes, while providing our membership with outstanding playing conditions. |
